Trick or treat update

Well another successful Halloween. My friends Kevin and Missy came by with their GREAT kids Madison, and Peyton. We hit up all the fantastic neighbors who were willing to participate this year, and scored a plastic pumpkin full of cavity enabling candy. Lots of chocolate this year,...must be no petroleum based products involved in the making, but I'm no scientist. (did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once, but it didn't help) Anyway, the people decided that in the year of the Great Obama, that we should all put the candy in a big pile and give EVERYONE their fair share. Of course there were a couple of slackers that only trick or treated for about 15 minutes, while Madison and Peyton did the deed for about 45 minutes, and complained that their feet hurt because they weren't wearing socks. No problem, the hard workers that they are the more than willing they are to keep on because they knew that the harder and longer that they worked the bigger their reward would be. Which of course was true, and mom and dad ended up carrying the over stuffed plastic pumpkins home. Then the Big O spoke up and declared that Madison and Peyton were well over their earning limit of chocolate and sweet things, and that they should enrich the less fortunate (lazy), and repressed (again lazy), so that every one had their fair share.(note to self, place happy ending here)
OK, I will, AS SOON AS I CAN F'IN THINK OF ONE!

People wake up, trick or treat, your job, your work ethic, your dreams, is it any different? Can this great country ask anymore of you than to work hard, succeed, and take care of your own? Success isn't measured by what you have in the bank, it's measured by the qualities you pass on to your kids or grandkids, the values, the traditions, the spirit of hard work that leads to success that our great-grand parents brought with them from countries that tried to keep them down.

THIS IS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!!!

If you stand silent and watch, what do you expect from the people behind you?
If they do the same as you, and your number is called, what will they have learned from you?

MAKE YOUR OWN WAY, AND BE HAPPY WITH IT.
Quote from the movie "Caddyshack" "The world needs ditch diggers too". And how true it is, but if I can raise a family, put food on the table, teach my children the difference between right and wrong, and be a loving and supportive parent, do I need any more than I earned? Should a successfull business owner have to pay ME because he made too much? Personally, I wouldn't take it, I got what is mine, fair and square, probably could have more if I wanted to, but didn't.

Anyway, nobody really cared, so we divvied up the cavities, and decided that next year, we won't go at all, and collect the same amount of goodies. How great is that!!!

P.S. Next year, I'm only giving away half a candy bar! I"ll sneak away half of it, and wait for my other free half from Obama. God, I love this country!
